Paint the City - The Vacant Mural Project

The Greater Syracuse Land Bank is implementing a project that organizes students and volunteers to paint murals on the plywood that is used to secure windows and doors of vacant houses.

The Land Bank will host a weekend painting event that is open to the public on May 13th at South Presbyterian Church on S Salina St. The community as a whole will have the opportunity to participate in brightening up our city. Paint, plywood, and a place to paint will be provided. Completed boards will be placed in Land Bank properties throughout the city.

If you would like to paint on your own time and are willing to use your own paint, please reach out and the Land Bank staff can work out a time to exchange boards, beginning in the second week of March. If you are interested in donating paint or supplies please contact the Land Bank.
