Together We’re Better

Together We’re Better is a collaboration between the Northeast Hawley Development Association (NEHDA) and the Syracuse Northeast Community Center (SNCC). The program addresses “social exclusion” by linking neighborhood residents living in poverty with businesses and community groups on the Northside.

I-81 Project Updates

The I-81 conversation is still ongoing, and we need your help to amplify the voice of Northside neighborhoods. Stay tuned for more information.

Clean Up ‘Cuse

We are proud to partner with the City of Syracuse to help beautify our Northside community. Gloves, bags, equipment and snacks are all provided. In 2017, we hosted three different cleanup sites: Hawley-Green, North Salina Street, and Rosehill.

Interested in volunteering at one of our sites, or starting your own cleanup location? For more information, contact us at nehda@nehda.org or 315-425-1032.

Quality of Life Concerns/ Referrals

Have general concerns with a problem property or crime on your street?  Worried about a potential development? Whether it’s Codes, Police, Nuisance Abatement or Community Mobilization, NEHDA is here to help. Reach out to us if you have and issues with foreclosure or emergency home repairs- our referral assistance can help.

Report A Crime

Did you witness a crime that might have been captured on one of the police cameras? After calling 9-1-1 to report the crime, you can complete a Camera Review Request to have the Syracuse Police Department review the camera footage. Once you submit a request, please allow a few weeks for the review to occur prior to an officer contacting you in regards to the incident.

NEHDA / SNCC Community Appreciation Picnic

NEHDA and SNCC will be hosting their annual Community Appreciation Picnic. It is our way of saying thank you to the community for all of the efforts that have been put into moving our Northside forward. Stay tuned for more details.
